LOEB TAKES FOURTH CONSECUTIVE VICTORY IN ARGENTINA
Four-time world rally champion Sebastien Loeb has taken his fourth consecutive victory in Argentina, finishing the event two minutes 33.2 seconds in front of Subaru’s Chris Atkinson. The Frenchman completed the last stage of the rally at Cordoba Stadium third fastest. He is now on the lead of the drivers’ championship by five points over Mikko Hirvonen. The winner of the short stage was BP Ford’s Jari-Matti Latvala who finished the event fifteenth overall. Team-mate Hirvonen was second fastest and takes the fifth spot in the classification and with that, four points in the drivers’ championship. Stobart’s Gigi Galli finished fourth on the stage and finishes the rally seventh overall. Fifth fastest was Chris Atkinson followed by Dani Sordo who climbs the podium in third place. Conrad Rautenbach completed the test seventh fastest and scores his best result so far in the WRC, fourth overall. The only standing Suzuki in the rally, Per-Gunnar Andersson, was eighth fastest while local driver Federico Villagra was ninth. The Argentine takes sixth overall in his home country event.
